Self-taught, and genuinely good at it
Matt has been working on roofs, decks, cladding and home repairs for over 15 years. He's self-taught, holds his white card, and has built his skills the hard way — on real jobs, for real customers, figuring out how to solve problems other tradies might walk away from.
He's not a registered plumber or a licensed builder, and he's upfront about that. For work that legally requires a licensed sign-off or council registration — like builds that need a certificate of compliance — Matt works alongside a trusted, licensed building partner who inspects the job and handles the paperwork. You get quality work and the right certification, without the run-around.
What he's genuinely known for is problem solving. Tell him what you're trying to achieve, even if you're not sure how to get there, and he'll find a practical way to do it — whether that's a deck built around an awkward slope, a retaining wall that needs custom framing, or matching cladding on a heritage cottage.

As the business grows, Matt brings in trusted subcontractors and specialist tradespeople for bigger jobs — multi-week cladding contracts, larger landscaping work, or anything that genuinely needs two sets of hands — while staying hands-on and responsible for the quality of the finished job.
