Matt has 15 years of hands-on roofing experience, though these days Renew & Repair is increasingly focused on cladding and decking work. Roof repairs and gutter maintenance are still very much part of what we do — particularly for existing customers.
Matt isn't a licensed/registered roofer. For general repairs and maintenance this isn't an issue, but for larger roofing work that legally requires registration and a certificate of compliance, we work with a trusted, licensed roofing partner who inspects and signs off the job.
Gutters are one of the most overlooked jobs on a property — a build-up of leaves and debris ahead of storm or fire season is a common (and preventable) cause of damage.
Roofing & Guttering — Common Questions
Are you a licensed roofer?
Matt has 15 years of hands-on roofing experience and his white card, but isn't a registered/licensed roofer. For work that legally requires registration, we bring in a licensed partner to inspect and certify the job.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
At least once or twice a year, ideally before storm and fire season. See our seasonal guide linked below.
